Maurizio Beretta

Maurizio Beretta was born in Milan in 1955, is married and has one daughter.

He is the founding partner of Studio Beretta, of consultancy firm Lorenzo & Partners, active in the field institutional relations, public relations, image and communications.

A Political Science graduate, he lectures as an appointed professor Institutional Relations Theory and Practice and Corporate Social Responsibility at the Communications Department at the “La Sapienza” University in Rome.

He is a member of the Advisory Board for the Birmingham Business School and the ISAE Administration Committee, a public research institute for the economy.

A professional journalist, he undertook his apprenticeship at the ASCA press agency and worked for state television company RAI for over 20 years.

He was an editor for TG1, special correspondent, chief news editor for business and trade unions and assistant director.

He was head of RAI “Divisione Uno”, with responsibility over the budget, TV schedule of channels Rai 1, Rai 2, Tg1, Tg2 and Rai Sport.

He was head of Rai Uno, a role that he left in 2001 to become External Communications and Relations director for FIAT.

At the FIAT Group, he was also director of Institutional and International Relations and President of FIAT Media Center.

He was a member of the board for National Labour and Economy (CNEL) and has been a director for “il Sole 24 Ore” and UPA.

From July 2004 to January 2009, he was Director General of Confindustria (Italian industrial federation)
