Serie A TIM

Prior to the team’s away fixture against Frosinone tomorrow at 21:00 CEST in Serie A TIM, the Crociati's coach Roberto D’Aversa today met the press at Collecchio.

About the squad: “Ceravolo will come with us and we’ll assess him tomorrow. Gervinho won’t be available. Bruno Alves must also be checked and it’s highly likely that he also won’t be able to play. Stulac has returned ahead of schedule and could be back in time for Torino. As for these games in quick succession, we need to evaluate the recovery time of those who’ve played. There are some doubts and we’ll wait right up until the last minute. We can’t feel sorry for ourselves but rather we must show more determination and energy. We’ll be going into a sporting battle in a tough ground."

On the Giallazzurri: “I know the Frosinone Coach personally, and I know the conviction that goes into his work. They’ve been waiting for these two home games so that they can ease their position in the league standings. They lost their last game, but mathematically it doesn’t condemn them. Even ChievoVeronaare still giving their all in every match. We must be mentally prepared, looking to concede as few chances as possible. We must be aware that we’re aiming to achieve our goal and that this game can help us do so.”

On the last defeat: “It was very different compared to the Lazio loss, and we’re disappointed that we weren’t able to get a result. It’s clear that we need to eliminate our mistakes because it’s not right when you end up with no points after performing like we did for 70 minutes. We’re in a position which everyone of us would have taken at the beginning of the season, and we’re also a group that has never made excuses, even when we had injuries last year in Serie B. This must lead us to approach the game with more strength and determination, the group must prevail in moments of difficulty.

On tomorrow's match: “I hope to see the attitude we displayed in the away match against Genoa – that desire to get the result. We need to take into account the opposition, and we can’t allow ourselves to think that it’ll be an easy game: despite losing against Spal, Frosinone actually dominated the game. It’ll be a difficult match, our attitude will be important. They’ll be playing in front of their home crowd and will be aiming to please their supporters. We have to think about how important it is for us to reach our objective."
