Juventus' coach Maurizio Sarri spoke in his pre-match press conference ahead of the Serie A TIM match against Atalanta, scheduled on Saturday 23 November at the Gewiss Stadium (kick-off at 15:00 CET).
“Guardiola's description about them was the best: ‘Dealing with them is like going to the dentist’. They're technically good, as well as aggressive. It won't be easy, especially away from home.”
He then provided an update on Cristiano Ronaldo’s condition, along with the rest of the team: “There is no need for clarification regarding Cristiano. At certain times the players have to be left to boil. The problem is that on Tuesday, he told us that he is still not well. The goal is to get him back in for the Champions League."
“I have some players with ailments. Alex Sandro’s problem is less serious than it had initially seemed, while we have an adductor problem Adrien Rabiot and Juan Cuadrado. Miralem Pjanic will be available. Blaise Matuidi still feels a little pain, but he does more than that. Yesterday he played the whole training session with us, he's available.”
He then concluded by saying: “Growth is always the result of moments, and there is no constant line. We want to play a certain kind of football, but we can't go against the characteristics of the players. We need the right compromise.”
