&lt;p&gt;The Italian league went on holiday at the end of May but many of its stars are lighting up the Euro 2024 group stages this June. &lt;strong&gt;Serie A TIM &lt;/strong&gt;started the tournament with the second highest number of players from the European leagues, behind only the Premier League and ahead of the Bundesliga, La Liga and Ligue 1. The reigning Italian champions, &lt;strong&gt;Inter&lt;/strong&gt;, also boasted the second largest representation together with Manchester City.&lt;br&gt; &lt;br&gt;At the end of the group stage, &lt;strong&gt;13&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;strong&gt;goals&lt;/strong&gt; have come from our league, with &lt;strong&gt;Bologna&lt;/strong&gt; being the most prolific club in front of goal with five assists and two goals.&lt;br&gt; &lt;br&gt;Let`s look in detail how our Serie A players have performed so far at Euro 2024 and who will continue their adventure in the tournament.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;In &lt;a href=&#34;https://www.legaseriea.it/en/media/altro/euro-2024-groups-a-and-b-70n96f9&#34; data-new-window=&#34;true&#34; target=&#34;_blank&#34; rel=&#34;noopener noreferrer&#34;&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Group A&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt;, Nagelsmann`s Germany took top spot unbeaten. Easy victories against Scotland and Hungary preceded the last-gasp draw against &lt;strong&gt;Switzerland&lt;/strong&gt;, who finished second with one win and two draws.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;There are five permanent starters in Yakin`s eleven who play in our league: Sommer (Inter) between the sticks, the defensive wildcard &lt;strong&gt;Rodriguez&lt;/strong&gt; (Torino) capable of covering multiple positions in the three-man back line, and the close-knit &lt;strong&gt;Bolognese block&lt;/strong&gt; formed by Aebischer, Freuler and Ndoye, who has been instrumental in Switzerland`s fortunes up to now. Michael &lt;strong&gt;Aebischer&lt;/strong&gt; was the star of the Swiss team`s opening match against Hungary, providing the assist for Duah`s opening goal and scoring the second, following Remo Freuler’s insprired ball. Even against Germany, their goal was entirely &#34;&lt;strong&gt;made in Bologna&lt;/strong&gt;&#34;: &lt;strong&gt;Freuler`s&lt;/strong&gt; assist - his second at Euro 2024 - for Dan &lt;strong&gt;Ndoye`s&lt;/strong&gt; finish to beat Neuer for the winger’s first goal for the national team.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;figure data-asset-id=&#34;14e42232-31a6-47a6-96fe-6a50ff052e08&#34; data-image-id=&#34;14e42232-31a6-47a6-96fe-6a50ff052e08&#34;&gt;&lt;img src=&#34;https://assets-eu-01.kc-usercontent.com:443/6be6dbcf-fd70-012d-ec80-2d3245f5ce6a/44ae277e-6956-4f93-8942-e6fabca46aae/Sito_HERO_svizzera.jpg&#34; data-asset-id=&#34;14e42232-31a6-47a6-96fe-6a50ff052e08&#34; data-image-id=&#34;14e42232-31a6-47a6-96fe-6a50ff052e08&#34; alt=&#34;&#34;&gt;&lt;/figure&gt;&lt;p&gt;A chance missed at the death for coach Marco Rossi`s &lt;strong&gt;Hungary&lt;/strong&gt; who, despite the latest goal in the history of the European Championships (excluding extra time) scored by Csoboth against Scotland, were knocked out from the pool of the best third-placed teams by Georgia.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Coach De La Fuente`s &lt;strong&gt;Spain&lt;/strong&gt; dominated &lt;a href=&#34;https://www.legaseriea.it/en/media/altro/euro-2024-groups-a-and-b-70n96f9&#34; data-new-window=&#34;true&#34; target=&#34;_blank&#34; rel=&#34;noopener noreferrer&#34;&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Group B&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt;, finishing with maximum points, five goals scored and none conceded. The Azzurri qualified as second thanks to the 2-1 success against Albania in their opener - goals from &lt;strong&gt;Bastoni&lt;/strong&gt; and &lt;strong&gt;Barella&lt;/strong&gt; - and &lt;strong&gt;Zaccagni’s&lt;/strong&gt; last-gasp equaliser against Croatia. Many Serie A players are among the &#34;eagles&#34;: captain and defensive leader, &lt;strong&gt;Djimsiti&lt;/strong&gt; (Atalanta), &lt;strong&gt;Hysaj&lt;/strong&gt; (Lazio) – used as a right-back in the first two matches –, the central midfield pair, &lt;strong&gt;Asllani&lt;/strong&gt; (Inter) and &lt;strong&gt;Ramadani&lt;/strong&gt; (Lecce), and Sassuolo playmaker, &lt;strong&gt;Bajrami&lt;/strong&gt;, scorer of a dream European debut with the &lt;strong&gt;fastest goal&lt;/strong&gt; in the history of the tournament, just 23 seconds after kick-off.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;England&lt;/strong&gt; won &lt;a href=&#34;https://www.legaseriea.it/en/media/altro/euro-2024-groups-c-and-d-70nd73e&#34; data-new-window=&#34;true&#34; target=&#34;_blank&#34; rel=&#34;noopener noreferrer&#34;&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Group C&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt; thanks to the only victory in a group that saw five draws out of six matches. Bellingham`s goal in his side’s opening fixture against Serbia was decisive for the final standings, a goal that put Southgate`s team through as top of the class and, all things considered, sealed the elimination of the Balkan national team. &lt;strong&gt;Serbia &lt;/strong&gt;leave the competition with no wins and only one goal scored, by Luka &lt;strong&gt;Jovic&lt;/strong&gt; in stoppage-time (AC Milan), from &lt;strong&gt;Ilic’s&lt;/strong&gt; corner (Torino), against Slovenia. The other Serie A players from coach Stojkovic’s squad who return home are: &lt;strong&gt;Milenkovic &lt;/strong&gt;(Fiorentina), &lt;strong&gt;Samardzic&lt;/strong&gt; (Udinese) and &lt;strong&gt;Vlahovic&lt;/strong&gt; (Juventus). On equal points with Slovenia, &lt;strong&gt;Denmark&lt;/strong&gt; qualified as second for having ranked better in the qualifying groups (with the same points but with a better head-to-head record). &lt;strong&gt;Kristiansen&lt;/strong&gt; (Bologna) starred for the Vikings setting up the former Lecce player, Hjulmand, to drive home against the English. &lt;strong&gt;Kjaer&lt;/strong&gt; (Milan) and &lt;strong&gt;Kristensen&lt;/strong&gt; (Roma) have so far been unused subs. &lt;strong&gt;Slovenia`s&lt;/strong&gt; progress through to the Round of 16, led by coach Kek,is the first time in their history. They started off well, taking the lead in their opener against the Netherlands – Buksa with the goal following a Zielinski corner - but defeat in the closing stages against the Orange combined with that against Austria has condemned the &#34;white eagles&#34; to finish last with a game to go. Only one goal was conceded by &lt;strong&gt;Maignan&lt;/strong&gt; (Milan), but, conversely, still no goals scored from open play by the Transalpine players. The Italian league went on holiday at the end of May but many of its stars are lighting up the Euro 2024 group stages this June. Serie A TIM started the tournament with the second highest number of players from the European leagues, behind only the Premier League and ahead of the Bundesliga, La Liga and Ligue 1. The reigning Italian champions, Inter, also boasted the second largest representation together with Manchester City. At the end of the group stage, 13 goals have come from our league, with Bologna being the most prolific club in front of goal with five assists and two goals. Let`s look in detail how our Serie A players have performed so far at Euro 2024 and who will continue their adventure in the tournament. In <a href="https://www.legaseriea.it/en/media/altro/euro-2024-groups-a-and-b-70n96f9" data-new-window="true" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Group A</a>, Nagelsmann`s Germany took top spot unbeaten. Easy victories against Scotland and Hungary preceded the last-gasp draw against Switzerland, who finished second with one win and two draws.There are five permanent starters in Yakin`s eleven who play in our league: Sommer (Inter) between the sticks, the defensive wildcard Rodriguez (Torino) capable of covering multiple positions in the three-man back line, and the close-knit Bolognese block formed by Aebischer, Freuler and Ndoye, who has been instrumental in Switzerland`s fortunes up to now. Michael Aebischer was the star of the Swiss team`s opening match against Hungary, providing the assist for Duah`s opening goal and scoring the second, following Remo Freuler’s insprired ball. Even against Germany, their goal was entirely "made in Bologna": Freuler`s assist - his second at Euro 2024 - for Dan Ndoye`s finish to beat Neuer for the winger’s first goal for the national team.<figure data-asset-id="14e42232-31a6-47a6-96fe-6a50ff052e08" data-image-id="14e42232-31a6-47a6-96fe-6a50ff052e08"><img src="https://assets-eu-01.kc-usercontent.com:443/6be6dbcf-fd70-012d-ec80-2d3245f5ce6a/44ae277e-6956-4f93-8942-e6fabca46aae/Sito_HERO_svizzera.jpg" data-asset-id="14e42232-31a6-47a6-96fe-6a50ff052e08" data-image-id="14e42232-31a6-47a6-96fe-6a50ff052e08" alt=""></figure>A chance missed at the death for coach Marco Rossi`s Hungary who, despite the latest goal in the history of the European Championships (excluding extra time) scored by Csoboth against Scotland, were knocked out from the pool of the best third-placed teams by Georgia. Coach De La Fuente`s Spain dominated <a href="https://www.legaseriea.it/en/media/altro/euro-2024-groups-a-and-b-70n96f9" data-new-window="true" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Group B</a>, finishing with maximum points, five goals scored and none conceded. The Azzurri qualified as second thanks to the 2-1 success against Albania in their opener - goals from Bastoni and Barella - and Zaccagni’s last-gasp equaliser against Croatia. A massive goal that eliminated the Croats, represented in Germany by the "Italians", Pongracic (Lecce), starter against Spain and Italy, and Pasalic, who failed to leave their mark.<figure data-asset-id="7acb2464-1399-4562-ba73-751f01273b39" data-image-id="7acb2464-1399-4562-ba73-751f01273b39"><img src="https://assets-eu-01.kc-usercontent.com:443/6be6dbcf-fd70-012d-ec80-2d3245f5ce6a/6a11a31f-f2c1-4f3c-a758-8a0010f62da1/Sito_HERO_italia.jpg" data-asset-id="7acb2464-1399-4562-ba73-751f01273b39" data-image-id="7acb2464-1399-4562-ba73-751f01273b39" alt=""></figure>Albania ended bottom with one point, the result of an injurty-time draw with Croatia. Many Serie A players are among the "eagles": captain and defensive leader, Djimsiti (Atalanta), Hysaj (Lazio) – used as a right-back in the first two matches –, the central midfield pair, Asllani (Inter) and Ramadani (Lecce), and Sassuolo playmaker, Bajrami, scorer of a dream European debut with the fastest goal in the history of the tournament, just 23 seconds after kick-off. England won <a href="https://www.legaseriea.it/en/media/altro/euro-2024-groups-c-and-d-70nd73e" data-new-window="true" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Group C</a> thanks to the only victory in a group that saw five draws out of six matches. Bellingham`s goal in his side’s opening fixture against Serbia was decisive for the final standings, a goal that put Southgate`s team through as top of the class and, all things considered, sealed the elimination of the Balkan national team. Serbia leave the competition with no wins and only one goal scored, by Luka Jovic in stoppage-time (AC Milan), from Ilic’s corner (Torino), against Slovenia. The other Serie A players from coach Stojkovic’s squad who return home are: Milenkovic (Fiorentina), Samardzic (Udinese) and Vlahovic (Juventus). On equal points with Slovenia, Denmark qualified as second for having ranked better in the qualifying groups (with the same points but with a better head-to-head record). Kristiansen (Bologna) starred for the Vikings setting up the former Lecce player, Hjulmand, to drive home against the English. Kjaer (Milan) and Kristensen (Roma) have so far been unused subs. Slovenia`s progress through to the Round of 16, led by coach Kek,is the first time in their history. For Bijol (Udinese), he has playyed all 270 minutes protecting the goal of Oblak.<figure data-asset-id="477372a3-9c62-4996-a9ea-1619b55093db" data-image-id="477372a3-9c62-4996-a9ea-1619b55093db"><img src="https://assets-eu-01.kc-usercontent.com:443/6be6dbcf-fd70-012d-ec80-2d3245f5ce6a/54f0cf7f-d26e-4622-8731-43d26076d263/Sito_HERO_slovenia.jpg" data-asset-id="477372a3-9c62-4996-a9ea-1619b55093db" data-image-id="477372a3-9c62-4996-a9ea-1619b55093db" alt=""></figure> In <a href="https://www.legaseriea.it/en/media/altro/euro-2024-groups-c-and-d-70nd73e" data-new-window="true" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Group D</a>, the national team, which in this stage has fielded more players from Serie A, with the exception of Italy, is Poland, who have failed to reach its goal of the round of 16. They started off well, taking the lead in their opener against the Netherlands – Buksa with the goal following a Zielinski corner - but defeat in the closing stages against the Orange combined with that against Austria has condemned the "white eagles" to finish last with a game to go. A great disappointment for coach Probierz and the many "Italians" in action: Szczęsny (Juventus) and Skorupski (Bologna) - MVP in the match against France -, Dawidowicz (Verona) recalled to the center of defence after being on the subs bench in the first match, Bereszyński (Empoli) – only four minutes for him –, the pivot of the midfield, Zielinski (Napoli), left winger, Zalewski (Roma), Urbański (Bologna) - mainly used as a second striker – and Swiderski (Verona) – coming on as a sub in all three games and decisive in winning the equalising penalty taken by Lewandowski against France.The real surprise of the Group was coach Rangnick`s Austria who, having put aside the unfortunate defeat against France, managed to grab two consecutive victories against Poland and the Netherlands, and qualified as top seed ahead of their much more famous rivals. Among the Orange, De Vrij (Inter) was a regular in the three-man defence, as was Reijnders (Milan), employed both as an attacking midfielder behind the front three and as a midfielder. For the other Inter player, Dumfries, he has two appearances as a starter before coming on as a substitute against Austria to his name. An unbelievable result in <a href="https://www.legaseriea.it/en/media/altro/euro-2024-groups-e-e-f-70niko5" data-new-window="true" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Group E</a> saw all four competing national teams finishing tied on four points in the standings. The Slovaks` starting midfield is entirely Italian, with Lobotka (Napoli) in centre midfield, and Duda (Verona) – on target against Romania – and former Serie A player, Kucka, in the mezzala roles. Coach Montella`s Türkiye return to the knockouts 16 years after their memorable Euro 2008 campaign.
