Serie A TIM

Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Italiano speaks ahead of the Coppa Italia quarter-final against Atalanta.

ON THE COPPA ITALIA - "Against Atalanta it's an important match. The quarter finals are an important moment, everyone wants to progress."

ON ATALANTA - "Everyone knows how good Atalanta are, they're and important side, especially at home. There's a lot at stake and we want to do well. We need a great performance against Atalanta."

ON REACTING - "We reacted well after the defeat at Torino, by winning at Napoli in the Coppa Italia. But this time it was different, it was a much more balanced game, we made mistakes and they deserved. We showed in the past we're able to react to defeats, and we can show immediately what we're worth. We're disappointed about the defeat, but I saw in the faces of my players that they are fully convinced about the work we're doing."

ON THE NEW SIGNINGS - "We need to be patient with the new players, we need to give them time to become part of the structure that is in place."
