Napoli's coach, Carlo Ancelotti, spoke after the match against Roma (1-1).

It may only have come in the last few minutes, but Carlo Ancelotti felt a draw was just reward for his players’ efforts in tonight’s match against Roma: “We played really well and I’m proud of my team’s performance. We kept up the pressure constantly for almost 90 minutes. We weren’t facing last in the league but an elite outfit. We created plenty of chances, although clearly we could have done better in the final third. Our accuracy was off, it’s true, but when you create so many opportunities, it means your attitude and mentality are correct. Roma shut up shop after they scored and the fact we stopped them from playing is to our credit.”

The Azzurri coach wrapped up his interview with a look forward to the return fixture against PSG the week after next: “Certainly the match against PSG could be decisive,” Carlo stated. “We produced the performance we needed to in France; now let’s see what happens at the San Paolo. Clearly their strikers possess great pace and they should be feared on the counter, but we’re playing at home and a win would put us in a great position in the group".
