Sampdoria have added two friendlies, to be played in England, to their pre-season preparations ahead of the 2018/2019 season. After their match against Parma, the cherry on top of their pre-season training camp, Samp will head for Great Britain, to face Fulham and Watford.
On Wednesday 1 August Marco Giampaolo’s men will take on the Cottagers, lead by Serbian coach Slavisa Jovanovic, who are gearing up for a triumphant return to the English top flight after four years in the Championship. With Craven Cottage currently undergoing works, the match will be played at Aldershot’s Recreation Ground, with kick-off at 19:45 local time (20:45 CET).
Three days later, on Saturday 4 August, Samp will pay a visit to Watford, owned by the Pozzo family, and currently helmed by Spanish coach Javi Garcia. The Hornets, 14th in last season’s Premier League, will play host at Vicarage Road at 15:00 local time (16:00 CET). The two teams have already played each other on one occasion, a 4-0 home win for Samp in the summer of 2001.
