The SSC Napoli Charity project, which has already seen the organisation of four successful auctions, is pushing ahead with a fifth sale of an item of club memorabilia:
The Napoli 2019/20 away shirt worn by Kostas Manolas in the first half of Napoli v Roma. The successful bidder will receive certificate guaranteeing the authenticity of the jersey.
The proceeds from the auction will be donated to Le Muse per L'Oro, an association that operates and supports educational and training initiatives based around arts and music, which are aimed at disadvantaged groups – for economic, social, cultural and health reasons – and seek to foster independence, the development of relationships and integration.
The association’s fabbrica dei suoni (factory of sounds) musical project targets adolescents living in the areas surrounding Naples, where there is a lack of infrastructure, especially when it comes to leisure and cultural pursuits. The project aims to respond to these deficiencies, with workshops on instruments including the keyboard, guitar, bass, drums and saxophone. The involvement of disabled people, who are a priority for Le Muse per L'Oro, bolsters the educational impact of the association’s work, by fostering values of inclusion and respect. Participants work together to prepare and perform a piece of music.
The SSC Napoli Charity Project will continue with further online auctions in aid of non-profits striving to have a positive impact on the community. It is hoped that the initiative will provide these organisations with the additional resources they need to improve their activities.
SSC Napoli has chosen to team up with the world’s biggest auction provider, eBay, because they share the club’s belief that these initiatives should ensure as much profit as is possible finds its way to the beneficiaries. The eBay Charity initiative will allow SSC Napoli to donate 100% of proceeds to non-profit organisations, with zero administrative costs.
