&lt;p&gt;The season is well underway, but even with the transfer window over, a great return to Italy has been made official: Serie A TIM is ready to welcome &lt;strong&gt;Papu Gomez&lt;/strong&gt; all over again, who is a &lt;strong&gt;Monza &lt;/strong&gt;player from today. Papu has been a free agent following his time in Spain and has signed a contract with the Lombardy side until 30 June 2024&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Following the Monza vs Bologna game, Raffaele Palladino described the purchase as a real steal, also referencing the move made by Adriano Galliani to make up for the long absence of Caprari who suffered an injury to the ligaments in his right knee and will remain unavailable for several months.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Galliani and Monza didn’t hang around, immediately making the move that surely brings a special player back to the Italian first division.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The history between Papu Gomez and Italy is special: we first started to admire his striking when he was at Catania, then witnessed his extraordinary time as captain at Atalanta.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;To date, Papu can count 315 games in Serie A TIM, with 66 goals and 80 assists in almost 25,000 minutes played in the Italian top flight.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;A pure, crystalline talent, capable of being decisive in offensive play both as a forward and as a striker: skills that have also allowed him to be successful at an international level with Argentina, winning the Copa America in 2021 and the last World Cup in Qatar.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Now Papu is back to continue his journey, today he starts a new adventure with Monza: &lt;strong&gt;“Sarà romantico”&lt;/strong&gt;, like the writing on the dressing room walls of Palladino’s squad.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Welcome back to Serie A TIM, Papu!&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;(Photo LaPresse - AC Monza)&lt;/p&gt;
