&lt;p&gt;Walter &lt;strong&gt;Mazzarri &lt;/strong&gt;has returned to Napoli ten years on from his first spell in charge after being selected by Aurelio De Laurentis to replace Rudi Garcia.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The San Vincenzo-born&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;tactician, who won the &lt;strong&gt;Coppa Italia&lt;/strong&gt; with the Partenopei in 2011/12, is now back at the reigning Italian champions, who currently sit fourth on 21 points, ten behind table-topping Inter, eight adrift of second-place Juve and within two of third-place AC Milan.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Walter Mazzarri will make his &lt;strong&gt;second debut&lt;/strong&gt; in the dugout at 18:00 CET on Saturday 25 November in Bergamo, where the Partenopei will take on an Atalanta side just one point behind them in the standings.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;After this big clash in the league, an exciting and vital showdown awaits in the&lt;strong&gt; Champions League&lt;/strong&gt; four days later: Napoli will face &lt;strong&gt;Real Madrid&lt;/strong&gt; at the Bernabeu with the aim of sealing second spot in their group.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The 62-year-old’s very first game in charge of the Partenopei came on 18 October 2009 against Bologna at the San Paolo. Mazzarri had arrived on 6 October after replacing Roberto Donadoni, who had been sacked after a 2-1 defeat to Roma that left Napoli on seven points after seven matches.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The first match of the new era began with a comeback victory over the Rossoblù: after Adailton’s opener on the 15-minute mark, Quagliarella equalised after 72 minutes and Maggio bagged the winner in stoppage time (91’) to put a smile on the new coach’s face.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Including that match, Mazzarri’s Napoli then went on a 15-game unbeaten run, winning eight and drawing seven. Only once have the Partenopei done better: a 16-match streak without defeat in 1989/90, the season they won their second Scudetto title. Luciano Spalletti’s men also went 15 matches without losing last year (13 wins and two draws) as Napoli became the Italian champions for the third time.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The Partenopei went on to finish the 2009/10 campaign in sixth place, qualifying for the Europa League ahead of seventh-place Juventus with two games to spare, which provided the foundation for three years of excellent results.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Indeed, Mazzarri led Napoli to a third-place finish behind AC Milan and Inter in 2010/11 to end a 21-year wait for Champions League qualification, the round of 16 of the Champions League (where the the Partenopei were eliminated in extra time by Chelsa), fifth place in Serie A and, above all, a Coppa Italia triumph thanks to a 2-0 victory over Juventus in 2011/12.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;2012/13 started with a defeat to Juventus in the Supercoppa Italiana in Beijing, but Napoli fared well in the league, coming second behind the Bianconeri. At the end of that campaign, Walter Mazzarri and Napoli went down different paths: the tactician joined Inter and the Partenopei replaced him with Rafa Benitez.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Now, the love story resumes...&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
