&lt;p&gt;With the club season now over, it’s now time for the most prestigious international continental tournament: the &lt;strong&gt;European Championship&lt;/strong&gt;. Three years on from Italy’s triumph at Wembley, the 17th edition of the competition will take place in Germany from &lt;strong&gt;14 June to 14 July&lt;/strong&gt;. After the European Qualifiers and play-offs (linked to the &lt;strong&gt;2022/23&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;strong&gt;UEFA Nations League&lt;/strong&gt;), we know the 24 teams who will play in the final tournament. They will soon take to the pitch across ten different German cities. The first game will be played at the Allianz Arena in Munich, and the tournament will finish at the legendary Olympiastadion in Berlin, where Italy triumphed at the 2006 World Cup. The sides have been divided into six groups of four. The top two in each group will progress to the round of 16 along with the four best third-place finishers.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Let’s start looking ahead to Euro 2024, focusing on the teams who are heading to Germany with players or coaches who showcased themselves in our league during the 2023/24 campaign.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;figure data-asset-id=&#34;d2e0e38e-59f1-4a9f-b691-94e980f56ec1&#34; data-image-id=&#34;d2e0e38e-59f1-4a9f-b691-94e980f56ec1&#34;&gt;&lt;img src=&#34;https://assets-eu-01.kc-usercontent.com:443/6be6dbcf-fd70-012d-ec80-2d3245f5ce6a/9a537e15-b937-486d-a663-5d2af94d44b1/Sito_HERO_sommer.jpg&#34; data-asset-id=&#34;d2e0e38e-59f1-4a9f-b691-94e980f56ec1&#34; data-image-id=&#34;d2e0e38e-59f1-4a9f-b691-94e980f56ec1&#34; alt=&#34;&#34;&gt;&lt;/figure&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;GROUP A&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Serie A TIM won’t feature prominently in Group A, which &lt;strong&gt;contains Germany, Scotland, Hungary&lt;/strong&gt; and &lt;strong&gt;Switzerland&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Germany&lt;/strong&gt;, who automatically qualified as hosts, are on the hunt for glory on home soil after disappointing campaigns at the 2022 World Cup (group stage elimination) and Euro 2020 (knocked out by England in the round of 16). The Germans, who have the most European Championship participations and titles to their name, haven’t won the tournament since 1996. Julian Nagelsmann’s squad is undoubtedly full of talent but doesn’t feature players from our league.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The same applies to the squads of &lt;strong&gt;Scotland&lt;/strong&gt; and Hungary. Coached by Steve Clark, the Scots are hoping to progress from the group stage for the first time in history after finishing bottom of Group D at Euro 2020.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Meanwhile, Marco Rossi’s &lt;strong&gt;Hungary&lt;/strong&gt; qualified for the tournament after finishing top of their qualifying group ahead of Serbia, who finished second, and Montenegro. The Hungarians, who reached the round of 16 in 2016, are dreaming of reaching the heights of the ‘60s and ‘70s, when they played two semi-finals.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Switzerland are the exception to the rule in Group A: five Serie A TIM players will represent the Swiss at Euro 2024, starting with &lt;strong&gt;Yann Sommer&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;(Inter), who has already played between the sticks for his country at two World Cups and two European Championships. Then we have &lt;strong&gt;Ricardo Rodriguez&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;(Torino),&amp;nbsp;the fourth most capped player in Switzerland’s history, and &lt;strong&gt;Remo Freuler&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;(Bologna), who directly contributed to four goals (two goals and two assists) in ten appearances in qualifying. La &lt;strong&gt;Roja&lt;/strong&gt;, who, together with Germany, have won the most European Championships (three), are led by Luis de la Fuente, whose side want to gain revenge for their penalty shootout defeat to Italy in the semi-finals of Euro 2020.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Croatia&lt;/strong&gt;, who finished second in their qualifying group behind Türkiye, are aiming to perform as well as they did at the 2018 and 2022 World Cups. At the Euros, they’ve never progressed past the quarter-finals, which they reached in 1996 and 2008. &lt;strong&gt;Martin Erlic&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;(Sassuolo),&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;Marin Pongracic&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;(Lecce),&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;Nikola Vlasic&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;(Torino) and &lt;strong&gt;Mario Pasalic&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;(Atalanta) are all in the squad, the latter of whom has scored ten goals for his country and found the net twice in eight appearances during qualifying.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Meanwhile, &lt;strong&gt;Italy&lt;/strong&gt; are the &lt;strong&gt;reigning European Champions&lt;/strong&gt; after beating England on penalties in the &lt;strong&gt;Euro 2020&lt;/strong&gt; final. Eight Euro-winning players will be involved in the upcoming edition of the tournament: &lt;strong&gt;Barella, Bastoni, Chiesa, Cristante, Di Lorenzo, Donnarumma, Jorginho and Raspadori&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Albania&lt;/strong&gt; will take part in the European Championship finals for the second time in history after previously doing so under Gianni De Biasi in 2016. Head Coach Sylvinho’s side topped Group E in qualifying, finishing above the Czech Republic and Poland.
