The last time the Viola beat Inter in the cup was on 27 February 1996 (1-0 in the second leg of the semi-final).&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Vincenzo&amp;nbsp;Italiano’s&lt;/strong&gt; side, who entered the competition in the Round of 16, first knocked out&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;Sampdoria&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;and then&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;Torino&lt;/strong&gt;.
