&lt;p&gt;The league season has begun and the summer transfer window is almost behind us, Como are wasting no time and have made a move for a player with great experience and quality.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Sergi Roberto,&lt;/strong&gt; born in Reus, Catalonia, in 1992, joined the Barcelona &lt;strong&gt;youth set-up&lt;/strong&gt; at 14 and staying until adulthood, absorbing all the main principles and tactical concepts of the &lt;strong&gt;Masia&lt;/strong&gt;. During his time in the youth sector, he became a central midfielder and already demonstrated good footballing intelligence. With &lt;strong&gt;Barcelona Athletic&lt;/strong&gt;, the club’s B team, he played four Seasons between the third and second Spanish divisions, totalling 106 appearances with 7 goals and 3 assists.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;He made the leap to the senior side in the 2011 season when he began to pick up his first appearances. Under Gerardo Martino, Tito Vilanova’s successor, Sergi Roberto broke more firmly into the Barcelona side in the 2013/14 season. His growth continued over the coming year when he contributed to the &lt;strong&gt;Treble&lt;/strong&gt; win with the trophies of the Liga, Champions League and Copa del Rey all secured.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;These were fundamental years for Sergi’s growth as he found a spot in the starting line-up under&lt;strong&gt; Luis Enrique&lt;/strong&gt;. The Asturian coach appreciated his tactical acumen and ability to adapt to different roles, so much so that he played at right-back. In the 2016/17 season, Sergi played 42 games, all in his new position, a testament to his adaptability.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;On 8 March 2017, Sergi Roberto wrote his name in club history by scoring the decisive goal in one of the most memorable Barcelona games in the Champions League. In &lt;strong&gt;373 appearances&lt;/strong&gt; in a Blaugrana shirt, he scored &lt;strong&gt;19 goals&lt;/strong&gt; and provided &lt;strong&gt;40 assists&lt;/strong&gt;, showing a unique tactical duality, capable of playing as a full-back, midfielder and winger, as well as being capable of adapting to playing on the left.
