Two teams in particular have surprised and delighted their supporters over the first three matchdays:&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;Lecce&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;and&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;Hellas Verona&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The two sides, who were battling relegation last year to stay in Serie A TIM, seem to be trying to put safety beyond a shadow of a doubt as soon as possible in the current campaign. Lecce, coached last season by current Hellas boss&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;Marco Baroni&lt;/strong&gt;, managed to stave off relegation with 90 minutes of football still to play in 22/23. The Scaligeri, meanwhile, would need a victory against&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;Spezia&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;in the relegation play-off to remain in the top flight.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Lecce and Hellas Verona had only taken one point from their first three games last season. The Giallorossi lost to&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;Inter&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;at home and&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;Sassuolo&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;in Reggio Emilia, before picking up their first point of the season against&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;Empoli&lt;/strong&gt;. The Gialloblù drew to&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;Bologna&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;on matchday 2, between defeats to&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;Napoli&amp;nbsp;&lt;/strong&gt;and&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;Atalanta&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;It’s a totally different story for both sides this season.&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;Roberto D’Aversa’s&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;Lecce have taken seven points following wins at home to&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;Lazio&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;and&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;Salernitana&lt;/strong&gt;, and a draw with Fiorentina at the Franchi. D’Aversa’s men are still unbeaten; they’ve only managed this feat twice before, in 2004/05 and 2001/02. They will try to stretch their unbeaten run to four games when they take on&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;Monza&amp;nbsp;&lt;/strong&gt;away from home on Sunday at 15:00 CEST. They will be hoping for a continuation in the form of&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;Nikola Krstovic&lt;/strong&gt;, who has become the first Lecce player to score in his first two Serie A TIM appearances since&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;Javier Chevantón&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;in 2001/02.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;While the 23-year-old Montenegrin, who came off with a knock against&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;Bulgaria&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;on international duty, is leading the line in Puglia, in Veneto it’s all about&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;Cyril Ngonge&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Since the start of 2023, the 23-year-old Belgian has scored seven goals for Verona, including a brace against Spezia in the play-off. That’s at least three more than any of his teammates and now he’ll try to lead the way for his side in their game against Bologna at the Bentegodi on Monday (20:45 CEST).&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Lecce’s coming run sees them host&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;Genoa&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;before a big midweek trip to Turin where they will face off with Juventus.
