&lt;p&gt;Gian Piero Gasperini has contributed to the development of many players since he has been in charge of Atalanta. The latest on this list is undoubtedly Charles De Ketelaere, who, in Bergamo, has found the right conditions to express his potential to the fullest.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Zaniolo is hoping to go down the same path as the Belgian under the guidance of the demanding and attentive coach from Grugliasco.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Born in Massa in 1999, Nicolò was always destined to become a footballer, as was clear from the start of his youth career. He showcased his talents for Fiorentina’s U17 side at just 16 years old before moving to &lt;strong&gt;Virtus Entella&lt;/strong&gt;, for whom he played at Primavera level. At the same club, he went on to make his first appearances in the professional game, featuring seven times in Serie B. At the age of 18, he joined &lt;strong&gt;Inter Primavera&lt;/strong&gt;, where he exploded onto the scene, winning the league and Supercoppa. That season in the Primavera 1 division saw him score 14 goals in 28 matches, including the winner in the play-off semi-finals against Juventus.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The following summer, he moved to &lt;strong&gt;Roma&lt;/strong&gt; as part of the deal that brought Nainggolan to Milan. He made a great start to life at the Giallorossi, quickly earning the trust of coach Di Francesco and becoming a starter. This remained the case when Ranieri returned to the Roma dugout. Nicolò finished his first season in the capital with six goals in 36 appearances. During Roma’s first-leg clash against Porto in the round of 16 of the &lt;strong&gt;Champions League&lt;/strong&gt;, he bagged his first two goals on the European stage, also becoming the youngest Giallorossi player to find the net in the knockout stages of the UCL and the &lt;strong&gt;youngest Italian footballer to bag a brace&lt;/strong&gt; in Europe’s elite competition, a record that still stands today.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Zaniolo continued to impress the following season under Fonseca: the Italian scored eight goals in 33 appearances across Serie A and the Europa League. The 2020/21 campaign marked a watershed in the young Tuscan’s career: while away on international duty, he tore the ACL in his right knee, forcing him to miss the entire season.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The No.22 made a promising return to action under Mourinho, contributing as much as he did in his first two years at Roma.
