&lt;p&gt;For Fabiano Parisi this is his third season at Empoli, the year of his blessing. In the first part of the season, he appeared 14 times, grabbing two goals, attracting the attention of Italy Head Coach Roberto Mancini, who gave him his first international call-up. We`ve been working on improving some tactical and technical aspects so as to arrive at that game ready!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;What have you done during the break?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;After being involved with Italy, I stayed at home with my brothers and Mum, and then went to Paris for a few days with my girlfriend before getting back to training.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Let`s touch on your experience of being called up for Italy`s Senior Team for the first time. What was your impression?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Representing Italy and playing with the best players has been a dream since I was a child. I`m really happy that Mancini selected me and I`ll do everything in my powers every day to improve and become a key figure in the team.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class=&#34;hm-image-wys&#34;&gt;&lt;img src=&#34;https://img.legaseriea.it/vimages/63a07f83/19958732_large (1).jpg&#34; alt=&#34;19958732_large (1).jpg&#34; style=&#34;display: block; margin-right: auto; margin-left: auto; margin-bottom: 16px; max-width: 100%; width: auto; pointer-events: none;&#34;&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong style=&#34;background-color: initial;&#34;&gt;Who made the biggest impression on you?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Verratti, Barella, and Chiesa, are all superb players, but also Donnarumma: they all made an impression on me.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;How did you hear about the call-up?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I was on my way to Cesenatico, because I had been called up for the Under 21s, when I got a phone call. I was on the train and there wasn`t a great signal, so I didn`t pick up. Then, a few seconds later I thought might be something urgent and important. As soon as I realised it was the senior side`s Team Manager, I was a bit in shock; I thought it was a joke at first. Then, he told me that Mancini had selected me to be part of the squad. I got off immediately at the next stop and changed train to head off to Coverciano. I still can`t believe it, even today talking about it. I kept my emotions under control, because I was in the middle of a train carriage full of people, but inside I was bursting with joy.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Have you been following the World Cup?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Very little if I have to be honest; I`ve mainly watched Argentina because I`m a huge fan of Messi, who`s my idol. He`s just got such a beautiful technique; when he caresses the ball, it`s just magic. It`s been a strange World Cup having been played in the autumn/winter period.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class=&#34;hm-image-wys&#34;&gt;&lt;img src=&#34;https://img.legaseriea.it/vimages/63a07f9b/IMG_8300.JPG&#34; alt=&#34;IMG_8300.JPG&#34; style=&#34;display: block; margin-right: auto; margin-left: auto; margin-bottom: 16px; max-width: 100%; width: auto; pointer-events: none;&#34;&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;A World Cup that has also affected the league...&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Yes, it`s a strange season with there being two clear divided parts of the season. We`ve had this mini-training camp in Spain to get our fitness levels up, as obviously there`s going to have been a few unknowns after a month and a half off, but it`s the same for everyone. We`re looking to improve in every training session, and we`ll see what happens when Udinese comes around; they are physically strong, but not only. They started the campaign off really well and I`m sure they`ll be looking to do the same again; they play some good football.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;What type of player are you?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I have a lot of energy in the tank, but I`m a more technical player than physical, but with my attitude and motivation, I try to balance these things. I`m trying to improve my game in the final third, when opportunities come.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;And Empoli? What kind of side are you?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;We`re a great bunch of lads who always give 100%. We leave everything out on the pitch and look to get better to get the best out of ourselves. We`ve dropped a few points at home, for example those against AC Milan in the dying seconds, which still makes me angry just thinking about it, but I`d say we`re in a good position.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;And your personal performances?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I need to improve and I look to every day, both from a tactical and technical point of view. I`ve always given my all on the field of play with determination. I`ve grabbed a couple of goals, and helped the team, but there`s still plenty more to do.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Why did you choose to wear number 65 on your back?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;It`s the year my father was born, and I wear it with lots of pride. Unfortunately, he passed away a couple of years ago. He also played the game, he was really good and had a better left foot than mine.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;What`s your routine pre-match?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Usually, I listen to a bit of music, a bit of everything, lately I`ve been listening to loads of `Sfera e Basta`.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;And after the game?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I write to my girlfriend, and then my Mum. I`ve made friends with&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;Cambiaghi, but also with Bandinelli and Luperto. It`s difficult to nominate just one.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The transfer market is opening soon... regarding the Fantasy Football, what`s your recommendation to fans?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;With how it`s going, from a bonus level point of view, I`d buy myself. I believe that the fan coaches are happy with me!&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;If you hadn`t been a player, what would you have done?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I went to a Music Lyceum school and also went to the &lt;em&gt;conservatorio&lt;/em&gt; (music school), I studied the Oboe. I`ve always liked Music, and started learning to play the piano before falling in love with the Oboe. It`s a vital instrument in an orchestra and it produces a beautiful sound. I wanted to be a musician, maybe some day I`ll play in an orchestra!
