&lt;p style=&#34;text-align: justify;&#34;&gt;Ahead of Tuesday&amp;#39;s Champions League clash with Liverpool, &lt;strong&gt;Carlo Ancelotti&lt;/strong&gt; set out Napoli&amp;#39;s stall by declaring the Azzurri want to play a starring role on the European stage - and of course there could be no firmer test of their mettle than reigning champions Liverpool.&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p style=&#34;text-align: justify;&#34;&gt;&lt;em&gt;“It&amp;#39;s the start of a great adventure and our aim of course is to reach the next round,”&lt;/em&gt; the boss began. &lt;em&gt;“We&amp;#39;re playing the best team in Europe and they haven&amp;#39;t dropped any points in the Premier League yet. The result is very important in matches like this but it&amp;#39;s even more important we have the confidence to match the best teams out there. Last year we were in a really tough group and we very nearly qualified. We&amp;#39;re determined to erase the disappointment of last season, which had a psychological effect on us in Serie A TIM too.”&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p style=&#34;text-align: justify;&#34;&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Are you thinking of making any tactical changes compared to the first few league games?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;  &lt;em&gt;“We mustn&amp;#39;t alter the way we play, regardless of the team I pick. Of course you have to keep the opposition in mind and the defensive side is very important but if you want to win matches you have to impose your game by playing to the strengths of your players. Liverpool have improved because winning the Champions League gives you belief. Napoli have improved too though and we&amp;#39;ve bolstered our squad with the addition of some quality players. I think it will be a great game – hard fought and intense.”&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p style=&#34;text-align: justify;&#34;&gt;&lt;strong&gt;How do you want your team to play?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;  &lt;em&gt;“I want a team that defends when we have to defend and can counter-attack when needed. We&amp;#39;ll have to be good in all areas – not just in responding to the opposition but by trying to play our own game too.”&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p style=&#34;text-align: justify;&#34;&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Which side do you think is favourite?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;  &lt;em&gt;“Normally it&amp;#39;s the European champions who are favourites but we hope it ends the same way as last year&amp;#39;s game at the San Paolo.”&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p style=&#34;text-align: justify;&#34;&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Can tomorrow&amp;#39;s match be billed as a match-up between two great coaches who have both won in Europe?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;  &lt;em&gt;“It&amp;#39;s always about the players who take to the field. The best coaches get their players expressing their full potential without detracting anything. That&amp;#39;s what I try to do.”&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p style=&#34;text-align: justify;&#34;&gt;&lt;strong&gt;What are your hopes for this year&amp;#39;s Champions League?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;  &lt;em&gt;“Regardless of what happens tomorrow, our target is to reach the next round.
